Editing

Good writing is the result of vision and revision. And then, further revision. Whether your document needs a final going-over for grammatical errors or a major overhaul, Word-Savvy can help your writing leap to the next level of clarity and strength. I can help you deliver a cleaner, uncluttered message, free of distracting errors and ambiguities, while at the same time respecting your unique voice.

For corporate clients, I can use your existing style sheet or develop one for you. Word-Savvy offers a choice of Associated Press Style, the standard for newspaper and magazine text, or Chicago Manual Style, for your editing preference.

Word-Savvy provides three levels of editing service. The prices listed below are typical, but will be adjusted on a case-by-case basis. Please send in a sample page for an estimate.

I was working on the proof of one of my poems all the morning, and took out a comma. In the afternoon I put it back again.

 --Oscar Wilde

I write slowly because I write badly. I have to rewrite everything many, many times just to achieve mediocrity.

--William H. Gass, renowned novelist and literary critic
